- For a booking image, current inmate information, or an older jail record, start with the home page's official jail and records-request guide, then contact the jail directly when the app does not answer the question.
- For a current wanted-status concern or a public safety tip, follow Sheriff's Most Wanted. Use Dispatch for tips and never approach a person based on an online result.
- For recent intake information, use the sheriff app path described under recent bookings and the jail roster. No official browser arrest log or fixed feed window was verified.
- For release or transfer alerts, use the Indiana SAVIN route explained on the home guide. A name missing from the app does not prove that no booking occurred.
- For a filed case or final disposition, contact the Posey County Clerk at 812-838-1306. The Circuit office is at 300 Main Street, Room 115, Mount Vernon, and the Superior office is at 126 E. Third Street, Room 133, Mount Vernon. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST.
- For a person committed to state custody, use the Indiana Department of Correction Offender Locator or IDOC offender-record request process. It does not cover every county booking.
- For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator. For immigration custody, use the official ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Neither route substitutes for Posey County jail information.
